This drop we wanted to create a bag that parlayed with the Tomorrowland music festival. This is a festival in Belgium that’s all about being enchanting, immersive, and dreamlike.

Gathering Inspiration

We kicked things off by gathering inspiration that would help us nail the look and feel we were going for. Tomorrowland has this ethereal vibe, so we knew we wanted to incorporate shiny gold elements and keep the color palette monochromatic and muted. Nothing too crazy, just enough to capture that otherworldly energy.

Bringing the Vision to Life

Once we had our inspiration, it was time to start searching for the perfect patterns. We hit up Adobe Stock and searched for keywords like “gold pattern,” “gold abstract art,” and “golden shimmer art” until we found something that clicked.

Finally we came across a pattern that was close, but it had some blue in it that didn’t fit our vision. No problem—we took it into Photoshop and made it all gold, exactly how we envisioned it.

The Game-Changer: Foil Printing

To really make this bag stand out, we decided to try a print method called foil printing. This isn’t your typical sublimation or high-density printing. With foil printing, actual foil is pressed onto the fabric, giving it that shiny, dreamlike vibe we were aiming for. It was the perfect finishing touch.

Our design process might seem simple, but it’s all about capturing the right vibe and pushing the limits. We gather inspiration, experiment with new techniques, and create something that’s not just a bag but a statement. For the Lost Lands Hydration Pack, we wanted to create something different. A tough, mosh pit-friendly hydro pack that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the prehistoric world of the Land of the Lost.

Starting with Inspiration

Like always, the first step in our process was gathering inspiration. We knew we wanted this pack to feel raw and tenacious. It had to scream Lost Lands – not just another festival bag. We wanted it to fit right in with the dinosaur vibes but still be something practical enough for a festival-goer to rock all day.

We started tossing around some ideas. Gold accents? Hell yes. Shiny and sleek, but nothing too flashy. We didn’t want this pack to steal the show entirely, so we kept the colors monochrome and muted – nothing too wild.

The Search for the Perfect Design

Next, we hit Adobe Stock and searched for elements that would bring our idea to life. Think: Dragon Scales, Dinosaur Claw Slash, and all things Jurassic. After browsing for a while, we stumbled on a pattern we liked.

We threw the pattern onto a black base in CLO 3D Garment Design Software to see how it would look, and honestly, it was next-level. But we weren’t done yet. We thought, what if we added neon green to give it that extra edge? After looking at it for a hot minute, we realized it gave off too much of a Monster Energy vibe, so we ditched it. Sometimes, less is more.

The Final Touches

Instead of the green, we opted for a bold blue claw mark that turned out to be perfect. It had the aggressive look we wanted, but still fit the Lost Lands aesthetic. We loved it so much that we decided to make a pink version for the ladies. No lie, we ended up loving the pink one even more. It’s got that extra pop that’ll definitely stand out at the festival.

After finalizing the design, we moved on to printing. We tried two different methods—foil print and sublimation. Both looked good, but when we saw that reflective foil claw under the lights, it was game over. The foil had to be the one. It just popped in a way that sublimation couldn’t match.

A Little Extra for the Drop

Now, we can’t just drop a pack this cool without going all out for the launch. So, we got our animator to create a crazy video featuring dinosaurs chasing the bags through a headbanger soundtrack. Yeah, it might be a little over the top, but that’s the kind of energy this bag deserves. Lost Lands is all about making a statement, and this pack is no exception.

Final Thoughts

Our design process might seem straightforward, but it’s all about finding the right balance between creativity and practicality. We gather inspiration, test new methods, and always push the limits to create something fresh, something different.

The Design Process:

We started with our classic 3-pocket chest pack but knew it needed an upgrade. Festival-goers need space to carry more than just small essentials, so we increased the size without losing the sleek look. Then, we dove into the details.

Riot Ten’s reflective hype or die logo was the first addition. We slapped it onto the straps because, let’s be real, reflective gear is always a vibe and it never goes out of style. The hyper-die reflects under the lights, making sure you stand out, no matter where you are.

Next, we focused on making the pack more than just functional—we wanted it to be a collector’s item. We added a contrast patch with Riot Ten’s logo, placed front and center on the back. Sure, it’s not always visible when you’re wearing it, but it’s still a sick addition that gives the bag a unique look.

The Final Touches:

Chris wasn’t feeling the first sample we came up with, so we went back to the drawing board. Then, he sent over a savage design with flames that fit perfectly. It was everything the pack needed—fierce, yet subtle with a whole lot of mosh pitability. The monochrome look with flames created a vibe that was chill but intense enough for any festival.

We partied hard in this pack, and it looked sick on Chris and anyone else who rocked it. This chest pack is not just a piece of gear—it’s a statement.
